Dave Fanning

Dave Fanning was a firefighter for 35 years in Liverpool. Dave wrote children's books to educate young children on the dangers of fire. The stories were used in local schools from 1995 to 1999, the reduction in fires and false alarms during that time, resulted in Dave's fire station winning two Business in the Community Awards, presented by HRH Prince of Wales in London. Dave was approached by a publisher in 2018, they wanted to publish his stories about firefighting in a dangerous era. the book, titled 'Fanning the Flames was published in 2019. Dave retired in 1999 and started a business two years later providing fire training to different company employees. A year or two later Dave became the fire consultant for one of the biggest sports companies in the world, Adidas.
