How much does it cost to list a book?
Nothing. Listing your book in the BookDiscovery is 100% free. We will never charge a listing fee and we will never ask for a credit card.
Who is eligible to list a book?
Any author — self-published, independently published, or traditionally published — is welcome to create a free author account and submit their book. We accept every genre: fiction, non-fiction, self-help, memoir, business, poetry, and more.
How do books qualify for the Top 10 list?
The Top 10 list is based on verified author backlinks and reader engagement. Authors who post a publicly accessible link to the BookDiscovery from their own website, blog, or social profile, and submit it through their dashboard, earn eligibility. There are no paid placements in the Top 10.
What about the Top 50 list?
The Top 50 works the same way as the Top 10 — earned through backlinks and engagement, not payment. The Top 50 rotates regularly to give more authors visibility.
What counts as a qualifying backlink?
A qualifying backlink is a publicly accessible page on your website, blog, podcast show notes, or social profile that links to sales-101.ca/directory or clearly mentions the BookDiscovery. The page must not require a login to view. Spam or low-quality links will not be counted.
How does the Top list rotation work?
Lists are updated periodically based on the number and quality of verified backlinks, as well as reader click activity. All positions are earned — there are no paid placements and no reserved spots.
Can I offer a discount coupon for my book?
Yes. When you submit or edit your listing, you can optionally add a coupon code and redemption URL. You can choose to show the code openly to all readers, or make it email-gated — meaning the reader must enter their email address to reveal the code.
Do I need a reader account to browse?
No. The entire directory is free to browse without any account. Reader accounts are optional — they allow you to save books and get notified about new additions.

Can a listing be removed?
Yes. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates our Terms of Use — including adult content, inaccurate information, or books that do not meet our content standards. Authors can also voluntarily unpublish or delete their own listings at any time through their dashboard.
