A gripping, thought-provoking mystery … filled with unexpected twists . .... Thornton is a welcome departure from the usual quippy PI archetype." Amazon Reviews --- They say dead men tell no tales. When Tom Adler discovers his deceased wife walking casually through Adelaide's Rundle Mall, his world collapses. Private investigator Robbie Thornton — dubbed The Tracer for his uncanny ability to find anyone, anywhere — is called in to unravel the mystery. What he uncovers is something far darker than a case of mistaken identity. Dr Claire Adler was a brilliant neuroscientist working at the cutting edge of Alzheimer's research. She worked for Big Pharma. She held secrets that could save millions — or destroy them. Did someone want her silenced? The deeper Thornton digs, the more the ground shifts. Drawn into a world where the promise of a miracle cure intersects with corporate ambition and hidden agendas, he finds that powerful people will do anything to protect what they know. And at the centre of it all is an enigmatic woman named Sarah — calm, elusive, and in possession of knowledge that she is willing to die for. Yet getting close to Sarah means getting close to the truth. And the truth has a body count. The Memory Thief is a compulsive psychological thriller about memory, identity, and the lies we bury alongside the dead. The dead do tell tales. That's what makes them dangerous.
